Changes to the Ontario “Drive Clean” Program
Yesterday, the Ontario government announced significant changes to its “Drive Clean” program in effect September 1, 2011. Key changes include:
- Off-lease passenger cars, vans and SUVs no longer need to be tested when purchased by the lessee
- All vehicles – cars, trucks and buses – less than seven years old no longer need to be tested when their registration is renewed.
