I have been with Jim Pattison Lease for 25 years.
What do you do here?
I am an Account Executive responsible for signing new accounts and then managing them on an ongoing basis.
How does the JP Lease culture contribute to your success?
We have a first-class support staff dedicated to customer satisfaction. Our management team is open to new ideas. We are embracing new trends and technology that will improve fleet management for our customers.
What do you look forward to most on your way to work in the morning?
I look forward to seeing my coworkers. We have a great group in the Toronto office, with a wealth of experience. We are always willing to bounce ideas off each other.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
Building strong and lasting relationships over time with my customers and suppliers.
Can you share a memory that stands out in all the years?
During the financial crisis of 2009, it was pretty much business as usual at JPL. There was panic everywhere else, but we remained calm and stable.
What are some of the things you like to do outside of work?
I like to spend time with my three children, I am an avid fan of all of Toronto’s pro sports teams, and I am doing some kayaking on Lake Ontario this summer.
What has helped make you successful at your job?
I am given a large amount of trust and freedom to plan my day around what will benefit my customers and our business. I was told early in my career to look at any business decision simply as “does it make sense?” I have never forgotten that!
